Donations can support programs, innovation, and infrastructure required to deliver our programs to Moms and their children, in areas such as protection, education, health, sanitation, disaster relief and economic empowerment.

My Story

I have been a mother since the age of fifteen. Through my younger years, I have dealt with the struggles that came with being a young mother in a domestically violent home with a relationship that was unbearably hurtful, both verbally and physically. After having the worked-up courage to leave that life behind I then faced life as a single mother.

Because of my experience, I can relate to struggling women all around the world who also face similar outcomes. My biggest hurt in life was not only growing up with this experience but watching a woman, a mother experience incidents like these on a daily basis. It is heartbreaking to me. I started this journey 20 years ago with my daughter to help women & children in every which way that we can.

We would save up to buy gifts during the holidays, wrap them, and give a family a holiday that they always dreamed of. We dressed up and gave out gifts that the children wished for and items the mothers needed. We went to churches in the area to which we got a list of impoverished families and gifted them with necessities they wanted and needed. During covid, we were unable to have access to these opportunities so we decided to go door to door on Christmas all dressed up, and gave the entire block presents to cheer up any loss of hope they may have had during that uncircumstantial times. I was even able to pay for groceries for moms who didn’t have enough to spare for their families. We have gifted supplies to children’s hospitals and women’s shelters to ensure that they have access to proper essentials.

My biggest joy is to watch a mother, a woman, and most of all a child feel happy. Seeing them smile makes me delighted and is the most fulfilling feeling. I thank God for sparing me from my past and bringing me the opportunity to help others in need. I came from nothing and built something out of it. My past has paved a way for my future and this is only the start of what I can and will do for families all around the world. My beloved daughter and I want to create change, ease the struggle and make faces smile.

Hope is the one thing that can help us get through the darkest of times and that’s what I plan to do with “Giving hope by Gigi”.

What We Do

We contact shelters, halfway homes, domestic violence shelters, child/woman shelters, and
churches to see who are in need.

We get a headcount of how many women and children are at that given location and proceed to get supplies.
These supplies include:

school supplies
feminine careclothing
hygiene care
and kid-appropriate supplies/activities.

We pack book bags or tote bags filled with all the essentials needed to help families struggle a little less. I want to ensure that these families get the help they need and yearn for. Once the bags are filled my daughter and I go give them out personally. This is such a beautiful and fulfilling experience.

Being able to help someone in need is the greatest gift. No mother and child should be left hopeless and without a fair chance.
